UPWARD, whose mission is to "make mobile workers smarter," will be speaking at the Annual Meeting of the Public-Private Partnership Platform for Local Government SDGs on September 2, 2020, hosted by the Cabinet Office, and will introduce its efforts to support local governments.
UPWARD joined the Platform for Local Government SDGs in July 2020. UPWARD joined the Public-Private Partnership Platform for SDGs for Local Governments in July 2020, and is working to further promote local government development through public-private partnerships. As part of our efforts to support local governments through public-private partnerships, we are pleased to announce that we will be speaking at the Annual Meeting on the theme of "Building a location-based disaster investigation system and introducing an activity management system.
In the wake of the torrential rains in July 2020, we provided UPWARD licenses free of charge to Hitoyoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kuma Village, Kumamoto Prefecture, and Sagara Village, Kumamoto Prefecture, in cooperation with System Forest Co.
In the Kumamoto Earthquake that occurred in April 2016, UPWARD and Salesforce(*) were used to support on-site survey and issuance of disaster victim certificates in Nishihara Village, Kumamoto Prefecture, which suffered extensive damage.

The Cabinet Office has established the Public-Private Partnership Platform for SDGs for Regional Development
as a forum for public-private partnerships to deepen partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, with the aim of promoting domestic implementation of the SDGs and leading to further regional development.
