UPWARD's case study on public-private partnerships for local development SDGs is posted on the Cabinet Office website.

~ Streamlining disaster investigation for municipalities with technology

The case study of UPWARD's free provision of licenses to support reconstruction of the disaster-stricken areas in the aftermath of the torrential rains in July 2020 has been posted on the SDGs Public-Private Partnership Platform.

CASE STUDY: APPLICATION OF MOBILE CRM "UPWARD" FOR ISSUING DISASTER VICTIM CERTIFICATES AFTER THE TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN JULY 2020

(https://www.systemforest.com/), UPWARD provided UPWARD licenses free of charge to Hitoyoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kuma Village, Kumamoto Prefecture, and Sagara Village, Kumamoto Prefecture, in response to the torrential rain in July 2020.
By providing UPWARD, a mobile CRM that combines location information and CRM, free of charge, we were able to speed up the issuance of disaster victim certificates, and the speed of certificate issuance greatly exceeded the level of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake.

The disaster victim certificate is an essential document for receiving public assistance after a disaster. Residents affected by the disaster must obtain it as soon as possible.

In the past, UPWARD and Salesforce(*) were used to support on-site surveys and the issuance of disaster victim certificates in Nishihara Village, Kumamoto Prefecture, which was severely damaged by the Kumamoto Earthquake that occurred in April 2016.

What is the Public-Private Partnership Platform for Local SDGs?

The Cabinet Office has established the Public-Private Partnership Platform for SDGs for Local Development as a forum for public-private partnerships to deepen partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, with the aim of promoting domestic implementation of the SDGs and leading to further local development.

Currently, examples of public-private partnerships are introduced on the Cabinet Office website in order to further activate platform activities by further promoting the initiatives of platform members and spreading and developing pioneering examples.
