With Mr. Ishida's appointment as Executive Officer, UPWARD will further expand sales of its next-generation sales DX tool "UPWARD" and support customer success. As a leading company in sales DX utilizing location information and intuitive UI, we aim to realize our mission and further improve corporate value.
We are very pleased to announce that Masaki Ishida will be joining our company as an Executive Officer. Since joining UPWARD, he has leveraged his extensive knowledge and business experience in SaaS to significantly grow the team. He has demonstrated leadership in various areas, including high-level restructuring of the sales organization, human resource development, and strengthening collaboration with key partners. He deeply empathizes with our vision and mission and is a person who embodies our values of "Always Challenger" and "Always Day 1." By adding Ishida to our executive management team, we will achieve further business growth.
Amidst the market changes caused by the novel coronavirus and the shift in working styles due to the rise of remote work, the movement towards DX in sales is accelerating. Under these circumstances, the importance and necessity of Sales Engagement, which connects the sales field with the system (CRM), are increasing daily, and we are receiving many inquiries and expectations. After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in Economics in 2009, Mr. Ishida joined Internet Securities Co., Ltd., a company listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. After being involved in marketing and sales for new businesses within the company's venture organization, he founded his own company. In 2015, he joined Salesforce.com Co., Ltd. After working in inside sales, as an account executive, and as a sales manager, he served as a branch manager. Subsequently, at Slack Japan Co., Ltd., he was responsible for the enterprise sector, focusing on the automotive and high-tech industries. He joined UPWARD in March 2021.
