Since the COVID-19 pandemic, UPWARD has proactively implemented revisions to its work regulations and organizational structure to enable remote work. As a result, employee productivity has significantly improved by not being bound by the workplace. In addition, being able to operate from a more customer-centric perspective has led to a high service renewal rate of 99.0% (as of August 2022). By promoting a hybrid work style that combines office hubs and remote work, UPWARD will embody its vision of "Go Smarter, Anywhere," and take the lead in realizing new ways of working. This led to the relocation of our head office.
WeWork was selected as the relocation destination because it provides the optimal environment for creating hubs in major cities both domestically and internationally. UPWARD anticipates further business expansion and requires more colleagues. In order to further enhance the diversity of work styles, we believe it is important to realize "collaboration work" in a physical space (office hub) that runs parallel with remote work, fostering employee loyalty (sense of belonging) to the company and its business. We will continue to enable hybrid work, both online and offline, for employees working in various locations around the world, and provide the highest level of collaborative work environment during offline work.
Furthermore, UPWARD, which aims to expand overseas with a focus on APAC, plans to establish satellite offices in major cities in Southeast Asian countries as well as in Japan.
