UPWARD introduces "UPWARD Work from Anywhere," a new work system

Background of the New System

UPWARD has been proactive in creating a system that promotes a flexible work style at Corona Disaster, regardless of where and when employees work, in order to improve business continuity and employee productivity. As a result, employees have been able to focus more seriously on the success of customers, improving the quality of service and the customer experience. At the same time, we have been able to attract a diverse workforce that brings further growth potential to our business. In our new headquarters office, which will be relocated in August 2022, we will continue to provide the highest level of collaborative work environment by creating an office space where employees can fully demonstrate their teamwork skills.
In light of this, we have decided to introduce "UPWARD Work from Anywhere," a new work style system based on remote work.
UPWARD believes that improving the employee experience (Employee Experience) is essential to providing better service to our customers. UPWARD will continue to promote optimal work styles that reflect the voices of our employees, aiming for further corporate growth.  

Main initiatives of UPWARD Work from Anywhere

Wage regulations: Revised the design to assume telecommuting.
Telecommuting regulations: In principle, employees are allowed to work at home; 10,000 yen/month remote work allowance is provided.
Domestic travel expense regulations: In principle, domestic travel is treated as business trip (including conventional commuting); daily allowance is abolished.
Domestic transfer handling regulations & single employee relocation regulations: Abolished.
