UPWARD Introduces 'UPWARD Work from Anywhere,' a New Work Style System

~ Realizing further improvement in customer experience through enhanced employee productivity and utilization of diverse human resources ~

UPWARD, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takanori Kaneki, URL: https://upward.jp), whose mission is to 'Innovate the last one mile in the field,' is pleased to announce the introduction of 'UPWARD Work from Anywhere,' a system to promote new ways of working, in August 2022.

- Background to the introduction of the new system

At UPWARD, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been actively implementing measures to promote flexible work styles that are not bound by location or time, with the aim of ensuring business continuity and improving employee productivity. As a result, employees have been able to focus more sincerely on customer success, leading to improved service quality and customer experience. At the same time, we are also acquiring diverse human resources that will further contribute to business development. In addition, at the new head office relocated in August 2022, we have created an office space where employees can fully demonstrate teamwork and provide the highest level of collaborative work environment.
Based on these achievements, we have decided to introduce 'UPWARD Work from Anywhere,' a new work style system based on remote work.
UPWARD believes that improving employee experience is essential for providing better services to our customers. We will continue to promote optimal work styles that reflect the voices of our employees and aim for further business growth.  

- Main initiatives of 'UPWARD Work from Anywhere'

Housing allowance regulations: Revised to include designs that assume remote work
Remote work regulations: Established remote work principles and provided a remote work allowance of 10,000 yen/month
Domestic travel expense regulations: Domestic travel is generally handled as a business trip (including conventional commuting), and daily allowances are abolished.
Domestic relocation allowance regulations & Unaccompanied assignment regulations: Abolished
