(Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Ryusuke Kaneki; hereinafter referred to as "UPWARD") announces that Mr. Araki, Director, CFO and General Manager of Singapore Branch, has been selected to participate in the Singapore and Indonesia course of "J-StarX," an overseas dispatch program organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. This decision is based on the company's prior experience in Japan. The decision to dispatch Mr. Araki was based on his evaluation as a startup with high growth potential overseas, following a pre-program and screening process in Japan.

In Singapore, the leader of the startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia, and Indonesia, which is close to Singapore in terms of the number of unicorns it has produced, we will visit local startups and venture capitalists, conduct mentoring, field studies, and pitches. In addition, we will build a network with cutting-edge local ecosystems with a view to future business development in the Southeast Asian region.

J-StarX is a program sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to foster entrepreneurs and send them overseas. J-StarX provides aspiring entrepreneurs with opportunities to connect with and learn from the world's top players and encourages them to take on new challenges in order to produce entrepreneurs who will be active on the global stage. Through this program, we aim to create a future where stars are born in Japan and the world shines brightly by creating an ecosystem where anyone can take on challenges and create the next generation of entrepreneurs.
