The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has published a list of "Examples of Cooperative Alliances between Foreign and Japanese Companies" on its website, which can be used as a reference when Japanese companies utilize overseas capital (joint investments with foreign companies, acceptance of minority investments from foreign companies, etc.) as an option for solving management issues and accelerating growth. The case study introduces UPWARD's collaboration with Salesforce, Inc. as a "pattern in which a Japanese company accepts a foreign company's investment in the company itself (investment ratio of 50% or less)".
