UPWARD, a SaaS provider for field sales, appoints Shigeyuki Komori, former Executive Vice President of Salesforce Japan, as Executive Advisor

Accelerating the Strengthening of Enterprise Sales Strategies

UPWARD, Inc. (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Ryosuke Kaneki, hereinafter referred to as "UPWARD") is pleased to announce that Shigeki Komori, former Vice President and Executive Officer of Salesforce Japan Co., Ltd., has been appointed as an Executive Advisor, effective June 2025.

UPWARD, Inc. Executive Advisor Shigeki Komori's Biography

In 1982, Mr. Komori joined Hewlett-Packard Japan, Ltd. In 2009, he was appointed Executive Officer and General Manager. From 2012, as a Managing Executive Officer, he oversaw the Enterprise Group business. In 2014, he was appointed Representative Director and Vice President, Executive Officer. In April 2015, he became Vice President of Salesforce.com Co., Ltd. (now Salesforce Japan Co., Ltd.). As a leader in the enterprise business division, he oversaw large corporations, the public sector, and businesses outside the Kanto region. He served as Vice President and Executive Officer from 2024 and retired in February 2025.

Background of Appointment

With the mission of "Innovating the Last One Mile for Field Workers," UPWARD provides a cloud service (SaaS) that automates the recording of customer contact activity data specialized for field sales and intuitively facilitates next-action activities in the field. To further strengthen our business structure, we have welcomed Mr. Komori as an Executive Advisor. Mr. Komori has extensive experience in the domestic IT solutions sales sector and has played a crucial role in our alliance with Salesforce Japan, where he served as Vice President. With Mr. Komori joining our team, UPWARD aims to accelerate collaboration with Salesforce Japan and further strengthen our enterprise sales strategy.

Dialogue between UPWARD CEO and Executive Advisor

To commemorate Mr. Komori's appointment as our Executive Advisor, we conducted a dialogue between CEO Ryosuke Kaneki and Mr. Komori. We have released a video and article of the session. The theme is "The Essence of Sales in the Coming AI Society and Challenges for Enterprises." From each of their perspectives, they discussed the essence of sales in the coming era and UPWARD's business strategy.
