UPWARD, a SaaS for field sales (outside sales), raises approximately 1.17 billion yen in new funding

1st close on latest rounds from RJ Value Plus 1 Investment Limited Partnership, NVCC 10 Investment Limited Partnership, and Salesforce Ventures

(Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Ryusuke Kaneki; hereinafter referred to as UPWARD) has raised approximately 1.17 billion yen as the first close of its latest round of funding from new investor RJ Value Plus 1 Investment Limited Partnership managed by J-Growth Corporation, existing investor NVCC10 Investment Limited Partnership managed by Nippon Venture Capital Co. The latest round of funding, the first close of which is approximately 1.17 billion yen, was raised from a new investor, RJ Value Plus No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership managed by J-Growth Inc.
With this funding, the company will accelerate the development of AI functions for field sales and solution packages optimized for specific industries.

Future Strategies

UPWARD will further focus on the development of AI functions for field sales by combining location-based technology and AI, which is currently underway. By combining smart devices, location-based technology, and AI, UPWARD will automate the recording of customer contact activities by field sales, and provide sales engagement services that create new customer contact opportunities. This will allow field salespeople, who are responsible for the last mile to the customer, to focus on essential customer-facing activities, thereby improving customer satisfaction and maximizing sales. In addition, we will provide industry-specific, industry-optimized functionality in the form of solution packages to solve the challenges of industry-specific field sales.
