Since its founding in 1949, Toso has been manufacturing and selling window interior products in Japan, and boasts the top domestic share for its main product, curtain rails. The company conducts field sales nationwide, primarily targeting interior shops, house makers, and interior construction companies.
The company introduced a sales tool to share sales information, standardize sales activities, and improve visit efficiency, but the information input work on a PC after field sales became a burden, hindering the settling of input and preventing data utilization, and creating issues such as the inability to increase the number of visits. To address these issues, they decided to replace the existing system with "UPWARD," which is optimized for field sales and allows intuitive data input via a mobile application.

Main effects of UPWARD implementation (comparison with before replacement)

  • Mobile reporting increases the number of activity reports by approximately 60%
By conducting mobile reporting using the stay detection function, the burden of input work is reduced. In the two months after implementation, the number of reports increased by approximately 60%.
  • Reporting immediately after visits becomes established, and the number of reports after 5 PM is halved
By completing activity reports on mobile devices while in the field, post-return reporting work is eliminated. The number of reports after 5 PM decreased by approximately 50%, leading to shorter working hours and promotion of work-style reform.
  • Real-time visualization of sales activities accelerates interdepartmental collaboration
Sales activities are now visualized in real-time, enabling prompt support from management and smooth collaboration between departments.
