(Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Ryusuke Kaneki; hereinafter "UPWARD") has closed its second round of investment in the JIC Venture Growth Fund No. 2, which is managed by new investor JIC Venture Growth Investments, Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Hideki Yarimizu, President and CEO; hereinafter referred to as "JIC Venture Growth Investments"), and closed the second closing of the latest round of funding. As a result, the amount of funds raised in this round reached the target of approximately 1.5 billion yen.
This procurement will accelerate the development of AI functions for field sales and the development of solution packages optimized for each industry.
UPWARD will further focus on the development of AI agents for field sales (outside sales) by combining location-based technology and AI, which is currently underway. Specifically, UPWARD will use AI to improve the accuracy and multilingualization of functions that support outbound sales, such as automatic recording of customer contact points based on UPWARD's patented proprietary stay detection technology, automatic minute taking for face-to-face business meetings, and automatic recommendation of customers to visit and automatic formulation of visit plans. This is expected to improve customer satisfaction and maximize sales, as field sales representatives, who are responsible for the last mile to the customer, can focus on essential customer-facing tasks instead of being caught up in ancillary tasks. Furthermore, by providing a solution package of functions optimized for specific industries, we will solve the challenges of industry-specific field sales.
