UPWARD, Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takanori Kaneki; hereinafter UPWARD) has conducted a third-party allocation of shares with Draper Nexus Venture Partners III, LLC (Headquarters: San Mateo, California) and Japan Venture Capital Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shuichi Okuhara) as the recipients. As a result, UPWARD has raised a total of 200 million yen.
Furthermore, to expand our business and unify our corporate brand, we relocated our headquarters from Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture to Chuo-ku, Tokyo on July 25, 2016, and changed our company name to UPWARD, Inc. (Upward, Inc.).
UPWARD's mission is to "provide an easy-to-use location information service and realize a world where business people can work comfortably," and it is a cloud service that improves the productivity of field sales operations through advanced integration and utilization of Salesforce CRM with maps and location information.
Currently, approximately 140 companies, mainly major manufacturers and service providers, have implemented our services, and we anticipate continued growth in the future. Recently, a major machinery manufacturer adopted our service to support the activities of approximately 1,600 field sales personnel nationwide.
With the funds raised this time, we will actively pursue further UI/UX improvements and functionality enhancements centered on automation, as well as strengthen our support system for existing customers. Under the new company name of UPWARD, Inc., we aim to further advance and grow our business.
